Every buying guide we've written, in one place. These are the questions we get asked on the phone most often, answered properly — no jargon, no sales pitch, and honest about when something isn't the right fit.
Mobility Plus has been supplying mobility equipment to New Zealanders since 2005. We're family-run, based in Putaruru, and online only. If you can't find what you need below, give us a call on 022 022 9956 — we'd rather talk you out of the wrong product than sell it to you.

Frequently asked
Are these buying guides free?
Yes, all of them, with nothing to sign up for. They're written by our own team from the questions customers actually ring us about.
Can I talk to someone instead of reading?
Of course. Call 022 022 9956 or email info@mobilityplus.co.nz. We're a small NZ team and we'd rather spend ten minutes on the phone getting it right than process a return.
Do I need an occupational therapist to choose equipment?
Not for most everyday items — walking sticks, shower stools, reachers, standard walkers. You do need an assessor if you want publicly funded equipment, and an OT is genuinely worth involving for wheelchairs used daily, complex seating, pressure care, or anything where posture and pressure injury risk are in play.
Does Mobility Plus have a shop I can visit?
No — we're online only, based in Putaruru in the South Waikato, and we deliver nationwide. That's how we keep prices down. It also means we can't offer click and collect.
