At Mobility Plus NZ, we've proudly supported thousands of Kiwis to stay mobile, safe, and independent since 2005. Based in the heart of Aotearoa, we're a 100% Kiwi-owned and operated family business - trusted by individuals, whānau, healthcare providers, and organisations across New Zealand.
From local store to nationwide online service
Mobility Plus began as a small retail shop in Mount Maunganui, originally known as Mobility Solutions BOP. We started with a simple mission: to provide reliable, quality mobility equipment that makes everyday life easier. Our commitment to personalised service and carefully selected products helped us grow quickly within the Bay of Plenty.
In 2022, we shifted to an online-only model, giving Kiwis everywhere access to the same trusted service, expert advice, and quality products, now available 24/7 through our easy-to-use website. We operate from Putaruru in South Waikato - right in the heart of the North Island - meaning reliable, fast delivery to more of Aotearoa.
Quality you can trust, from a team who cares
Every product we sell meets strict international safety and quality standards like CE and ISO. That means the walker, cushion, or chair you order from us isn't just fit for purpose - it's backed by international certifications, a NZ-based 12-month warranty, and local support from real people who care. We carefully select every product in our range, so you can order with confidence knowing it will perform when it matters most.
Our why - He mea tuku tēnei mai i taku ngākau / straight from the heart
I'm Kellie, and I now manage Mobility Plus because it combined everything I care about - quality products that make a genuine difference, and the opportunity to give every customer the kind of service that actually means something.
I've experienced mobility challenges personally - recovering from operations, I know firsthand how frustrating it is to struggle with the simplest things. Getting up from a chair. Getting in and out of the shower. Moving around your own home. Watching my parents face these challenges as they've gotten older has only deepened my understanding of what our customers and their whānau go through.
My background spans aged care, medical, logistics and sales - but the thread running through all of it is customer service. Getting it right. Making sure people feel heard, helped, and looked after. That's what I love, and it's what drives how we run Mobility Plus every single day.
My partner and I are proud South Waikato locals - between us we've called this rohe home for well over two decades. We're a real family, in a real community, packing your order personally and answering your emails ourselves. When you order from Mobility Plus, you're not dealing with a call centre or a corporate warehouse. You're dealing with us - and we genuinely care that your equipment arrives quickly, safely, and does exactly what you need.
To each and every one of you who trusts us to support your hauora and independence, thank you. It's a privilege we don't take lightly.
Ngā manaakitanga,
Best wishes to you and your whānau,
- Kellie Chapman, Owner, Mobility Plus
