Will it fit my bed?

Only if you have an iCare homecare bed. It mounts to the iCare bed frame, so it won't fit a standard divan, slat base or another brand of hospital bed. Send us a photo of your frame if you're not sure.

How do I know whether I need left or right?

Stand at the foot of the bed looking toward the head — left and right are from that view. If you're at all unsure, call us and describe the room; getting this wrong means a return.

Is one rail enough?

It depends on the bed's position. Against a wall, one rail on the open side is often appropriate. Free-standing, a single rail leaves the other side unprotected — which can make things worse, not better, if someone is at risk of coming out of bed. An assessment should decide this.

Who can lower the rail?

The release is designed for a carer rather than the person in bed, so it can't easily be lowered unintentionally.

Does it come with a cover?

No — the padded Full Length cover is sold separately, one per rail.
