Will the Bed Stick fit my bed?
Only if you have an iCare homecare bed. It slips into a socket on the iCare bed frame, so it won't attach to a standard divan, slat base or another brand of hospital bed. Send us a photo of your frame if you're not sure.
Should I choose the Bed Stick or the U-Assist Rail?
The Bed Stick gives one grip point and is the most discreet. The U-Assist Rail is a similar slim shape but has several grip heights, which helps if you need support part-way through sitting up, not just at the start.
Is it a side rail?
No. A side rail forms a barrier along the edge of the bed. The Bed Stick is a grab handle — it gives you something to hold, but it won't stop someone rolling out of bed. If that's what you need, look at the Low, High or Full Length side rails.
Do I need tools to fit it?
No. It slides into the socket on the bed frame and lifts back out, so you can move it along the bed or take it off when it isn't needed.
Can I get a cover for it?
Yes — the Bed Stick and U-Assist share the same padded cover. Mesh and fabric slip covers are also made for it; ask us for current pricing on those.
Is one enough, or do I need two?
It's sold individually. Most people use one on their preferred side for getting up; some fit one each side if they transfer both ways.
