How much weight does it hold?
It is rated to 250kg+ on a powder-coated steel frame — well beyond the 100–130kg of a standard commode.
How wide is the seating area?
There is 645mm between the arms. The overall chair width is 705mm and the depth is 530mm — worth measuring your doorway and the space beside the bed before you order.
Can the height be adjusted?
Yes. The legs adjust so the seat sits anywhere from 460mm to 570mm. Setting it close to the height of the bed or chair you transfer from makes standing and sitting much easier.
Do the arms move for transfers?
They fold down simply, so you or a carer can slide across sideways from a bed or wheelchair rather than standing and turning.
Is it easy to keep clean?
Yes. The bucket lifts out and has a lid, and the seat and backrest are removable too — so everything that needs washing can be taken off and washed.
Is it stable on my floor?
Each leg has a non-slip rubber foot, and the wide frame gives a broad, stable base on carpet, vinyl or tiles.
Who is it for?
It suits larger users, anyone who finds a standard commode too narrow, and households where getting to the bathroom overnight or after surgery isn’t practical. It also works well where a carer assists with transfers.
What warranty does it come with?
A 12-month NZ-based warranty, supplied by Goldfern NZ with local support and parts.
