The Alera MaxxLine 250 is a bariatric pressure care mattress built for people up to 250kg who are at high risk of pressure injuries — rated to stage 4 (EPUAP), the most severe classification.
Three layers of hyperelastic foam with longitudinal and diagonal castellations support a full range of profiling positions while creating a ventilation system through the mattress, so it breathes and maintains a workable microclimate. Shear force stays below 2.4kPa. Super-soft zones at head and heel target the two areas most at risk.
The PU-Tex cover is the other reason clinicians specify it: two-way stretch, breathable and waterproof, with ultrasonically welded seams and a concealed zip. It is chemically and thermally treated to Robert Koch Institute directives, virus and bacteria proof, and can be washed at up to 95°C or autoclaved.
