FAQs - Your Questions Answered

Is the Studio a dual motor or a quad motor chair?
Quad. It has four motors in total — back, leg, headrest and lumbar. Some retailers describe it as dual motor because they only count the lift and recline motors, but the Studio also has an independent power headrest and power lumbar.

What sizes are available?
Petite (136kg, 50.8cm seat width) and Standard (158.7kg, 57.1cm seat width).

What colours are available?
Fog (soft grey), Latte (warm light brown / beige) and Bark (dark brown).

What is the fabric?
Santa Barbara — a 100% polyester weave with inherent stain resistance, so spills sit on the surface rather than soaking in.

How is the chair controlled?
A USB hand wand attached to the side of the chair. No app or phone needed.

Does it lay flat?
Yes — the Studio has a lay-flat recline. Allow clearance behind the chair for the backrest to recline fully.

What does delivery cost?
Delivery and installation are quoted per order — the price depends on your address and access. We confirm the cost with you before dispatch. There is no free-delivery option on the Theorem range.

How long does delivery take?
Around 7–10 working days to most North and South Island addresses. Allow an extra 2–3 working days for rural delivery.

Can you take the old chair and packaging away?
Yes — two-person delivery with installation, assembly and packaging removal is available. It’s quoted with the delivery.

Is there a warranty?
Yes. Frame 5 years, chair mechanisms 3 years, and electronics, handset & cable and fabric 2 years.

Who makes Theorem chairs?
Theorem Power Lift Recliners, distributed in New Zealand through Pride Mobility.

Does Mobility Plus have a physical store?
No. We’re online only and deliver nationwide.

Can I use funding for this chair?
Talk to us — we quote for Enable, ACC, Accessable and WINZ. Get in touch with your reference number and we’ll put a compliant quote together.
