The Theorem Aroki is a quad-motor power lift recliner made for New Zealand, upholstered in Silt — a soft suede-look fabric. Four independent motors control the backrest, headrest, lumbar support and legrest separately — far more adjustability than a standard dual-motor chair.

A two-stage lift raises you to a near-standing position, and the lay-flat recline opens to 183cm for proper rest or overnight leg elevation. Both sizes are rated to 158kg.

✔ Two-stage power lift raises you to a near-standing position
✔ Lay-flat recline opens to 183cm — allow clearance behind the chair

FAQs - Your Questions Answered

What motor configuration does the Aroki have?
Quad motor — four independent motors controlling the backrest, headrest, lumbar support and legrest separately.

What colour is the Aroki?
Silt — a soft suede-look upholstery that suits a wide range of home interiors and is built to take everyday use.

What is a two-stage lift?
The lift operates in two stages rather than one continuous tilt, raising you gently to a near-standing position. It reduces the effort of standing and the need for carer assistance.

Does it lay flat?
Yes — fully flat, to a reclined length of 183cm. That suits extended rest, daytime naps, or elevating the legs without leaving the chair.

What sizes are available?
Petite and Standard. Both are rated to 158kg — the Petite simply has a more compact seat for smaller users.

How is the chair controlled?
A soft-grip USB hand controller with pre-set positions, including full recline and full stand. No app or Bluetooth required.

How heavy is the chair itself?
70kg in Petite and 74kg in Standard — which is why we recommend the two-person delivery and installation service.

What does delivery cost?
Delivery and installation are quoted per order — the price depends on your address and access. We confirm the cost with you before dispatch. There is no free-delivery option on the Theorem range.

How long does delivery take?
Around 7–10 working days to most North and South Island addresses. Allow an extra 2–3 working days for rural delivery.

Can you take the old chair and packaging away?
Yes — two-person delivery with installation, assembly and packaging removal is available. It’s quoted with the delivery.

Is there a warranty?
Yes. Frame 5 years, chair mechanisms 3 years, and electronics, handset & cable and fabric 2 years.

Who makes Theorem chairs?
Theorem Power Lift Recliners, distributed in New Zealand through Pride Mobility.

Does Mobility Plus have a physical store?
No. We’re online only and deliver nationwide.

Can I use funding for this chair?
Talk to us — we quote for Enable, ACC, Accessable and WINZ. Get in touch with your reference number and we’ll put a compliant quote together.
