Everything You Need to Know About This Product...

Description

When gripping a handle is the problem

A standard walker asks you to bear weight through your hands and wrists. If you have rheumatoid or osteoarthritis, a healing fracture, or simply not much grip left, that's the one thing you can't do. A gutter frame moves the load up to the forearms, resting in padded troughs, with the hands only lightly steadying the frame. Physios prescribe them for exactly this reason — and the angle adjustment matters, because it lets the trough be set to the angle each arm actually sits at.

• Height and angle adjustable gutter troughs
• Lightweight aluminium frame
• One-touch brake system
• 150mm front castors and rear wheels
• Basket included
• Folds to 32cm depth
• Safe working load 100kg
• Indoor use
• Parts and servicing through Cubro NZ

Also available with a single lever brake for one-handed use — left or right.

FAQs - Your Questions Answered

What is a gutter frame?
A walking frame with padded forearm troughs instead of ordinary handgrips. Your weight goes through the forearms, so painful hands and wrists are taken out of the equation.

Who is it for?
People with arthritis, a weak or painful grip, a broken hand or wrist, or anyone who can't safely bear weight through their hands. Often prescribed during rehab.

Are the troughs adjustable?
Yes — both height (95–128cm) and angle, so each trough can be set to sit correctly under the arm.

Does it have a seat?
Yes — a 30cm × 30cm seat at 55cm high, plus a basket.

Can it be used one-handed?
This model has a brake on each side. If one hand doesn't work, choose the single lever brake version instead — one lever brakes both wheels.

Indoor or outdoor?
Designed for indoor use, on 150mm wheels.

What is the safe working load?
100kg.

Is it funded?
We quote for Enable, Accessable, ACC and WINZ. Ask us and we'll send a compliant quote.
