Everything You Need to Know About This Product...

Description

Get up the step without the struggle

A step of 20cm or more is hard work for anyone pushing a wheelchair, and a short ramp only makes it steeper. The longer Strada suitcase ramp spreads the rise over a gentler slope, so moving between rooms or in and out of the house is safer and easier. When you're done, fold it in half, pick it up by the handle and store it out of the way.

FAQs - Your Questions Answered

Which length do I need?
The longer the ramp, the gentler (and safer) the slope. As a rough guide, on a 230mm step the 2100mm ramp gives a slope of about 1 in 9 and the 2400mm about 1 in 10. That suits a carer pushing the wheelchair; someone wheeling themselves needs a gentler slope. Measure the height of the step and call us on 022 022 9956 — we'll help you choose.

How much weight will it hold?
363kg on both lengths — enough for a user in a power chair or on a scooter.

How heavy is it to carry?
2100mm: 18.6kg · 2400mm: 21.3kg. It folds in half and has a carry handle, but at this length it's best moved by an able adult.

How much room do I need?
Allow the full length of the ramp (2.1m or 2.4m) of clear floor in front of the step, plus room to turn the wheelchair at the bottom.

Can I use it outdoors?
Yes — the aluminium and non-slip finish suit indoor and outdoor use.

Who supplies it?
