A slide sheet is the single cheapest thing you can buy to protect a carer's back.

Dragging someone up the bed by hand is how most carer injuries happen — and it is rough on the person being moved, because the friction that makes it hard work is the same friction that shears their skin. A super-slippery low-friction sheet lets them glide instead.

Used in pairs, one sheet slides against the other, so a single carer can reposition someone up the bed, roll them for changing, or move them across to a chair with a fraction of the effort and no skin friction.

Lightweight fabric, machine washable and drip-dry.

Medium: 1100 x 1400mm. Extra Large: 1500 x 2000mm. Choose XL for a larger person, or where you are moving the whole body rather than just the upper half.

Worth knowing: slide sheets are not left under someone permanently. They go in for the move and come straight back out.
