Memory Foam Pressure Care, in Double and Queen

The Posture-Temp is a German-made viscoelastic memory foam pressure care mattress, in the larger sizes most pressure care ranges simply do not offer.

The foam softens as it warms, so it keeps adapting as the person settles rather than pushing back. It is also hypoallergenic and dust-mite resistant — rarely addressed in a clinical mattress, and worth knowing if allergies are in the picture.

How is memory foam different from standard pressure care foam?

Viscoelastic memory foam responds to body heat as well as pressure, so it gradually softens and moulds as the person settles. That produces a very close fit to the body's contours. High-density foams respond to pressure alone and hold their shape more firmly — easier to move on, less enveloping.

Is it suitable for allergy sufferers?

Yes. The dense foam structure and synthetic fibres make it hypoallergenic and dust-mite resistant, and the cover is anti-allergenic with antimicrobial properties.

Why choose this over the iCare mattresses?

Mainly for the memory foam feel and the allergy resistance. The iCare ActiveX range uses heat and pressure sensitive foam with published Waterlow ratings and risk categories, so if an OT has specified a risk level, follow that. If comfort, allergies or a Double or Queen size are driving the decision, the Posture-Temp is worth a look.

Will it slide on the bed?

No — it has a non-slip base, and the design is intended to reduce shear and friction.

Is the cover waterproof?

Yes. The bi-elastic cover is waterproof, breathable, stain resistant, fire resistant, anti-allergenic and antimicrobial, with a concealed zip and high-frequency welded seams to prevent fluid and bacteria getting in.

Can I get funding for it?
