Why split side rails

They let a carer open up just the part of the bed they need, instead of dropping the whole side every time.

Better in a tight room

The drop-away action doesn't need the clearance a fold-to-foot rail does, which can be the difference between a rail that works in the room and one that doesn't.

Light to handle

Aluminium, and removable, so they come off easily if the bed has to be moved.

Which bed does this fit?

The iCare Gravitate G6 floorline bed. It won't fit the G5, the standard iCare homecare beds or another brand. Send us a photo of the bed if you're unsure.

How many do I need?

They're priced and sold individually. Two make a set for one side; four cover both sides. Which configuration is right depends on the assessment — call us if you'd like help working it out.

Why split rather than one long rail?

Split rails let you lower one section for a transfer while the rest stays up, and the drop-away action needs less clearance than a rail folding toward the foot of the bed.

What is the user weight limit?

iCare haven't published one for this rail. We'd rather confirm it with them than guess — ask us before ordering if weight capacity is a deciding factor.

Can they be taken off?

Yes — they're removable for transport.
