How does a dressing strap work?
Clip the two hooks onto the waistband of your trousers once they're over your feet, then pull straight up on the strap. The Y-shaped end lifts both sides at once so the waistband comes up evenly rather than twisting.
Who is it for?
Anyone who can't bend or reach down to pull clothing up — including people with hip or knee replacements, back pain, arthritis, limited flexibility, or in later pregnancy.
What clothing does it suit?
Trousers, pyjama bottoms, underwear and skirts — anything with a waistband the clips can grip. Very delicate or fine-knit fabrics are best avoided.
Can it be used seated?
Yes. At 1000mm it reaches the floor from a chair or the edge of the bed, which is how most people use it.
Does it work with a dressing stick?
They do different jobs and many people use both. A dressing stick pushes and hooks clothing at a distance; the strap stays clipped on so you can pull steadily with both hands.
How is it cleaned?
Wipe the webbing clean with a damp cloth and allow it to dry.
