Zerotec is a barrier fabric, not a plastic backing. It stops body fluids reaching the mattress, wipes down between changes, and stretches with the surface underneath rather than fighting it.

That last part matters on an adjustable bed — a cover that does not move with the mattress creates shear, and shear is what damages skin.

How is Zerotec different from a normal waterproof protector?

A normal protector is usually a fabric top with a plastic backing. Zerotec is a medical-grade barrier fabric throughout — it wipes clean rather than needing a wash every time, and it stretches with the mattress instead of pulling against it.

Which depth do I need?

Measure the height of your mattress. 5cm is for an overlay or topper. 15cm and 20cm are for full mattresses — the iCare IC30 is 200mm, so it takes the 20cm cover.

Will it work on an adjustable bed?

Yes — the stretch fabric is designed to move with a profiling bed as it articulates.

How do I clean it?

It wipes down for day-to-day cleaning. Follow the care label for laundering, and avoid high heat and harsh chemicals, which degrade barrier fabrics.

Can I get funding for a Zerotec cover?
