How many should I buy?

Two or three in rotation is realistic — one on the bed, one in the wash and one in the cupboard. One on its own leaves you stuck.

Does it replace a mattress protector?

No. The pad is the first line of defence on top of the sheet; a protector or Zerotec cover is what actually shields the mattress. Use both if incontinence is a regular factor.

Can it be used on an adjustable bed?

Yes — it lies on top of the sheet, so it suits any bed type.

How do I wash it?

Machine washable. Avoid fabric softener — it coats the fibres and reduces absorbency over time.
