La-Z-Boy

La-Z-Boy has been making recliners in the United States since 1927, when cousins Edward Knabusch and Edwin Shoemaker invented the reclining chair in Monroe, Michigan.

We stock the La-Z-Boy Pinnacle in three versions: a rocker recliner, a mobile recliner on castors, and the Pinnacle Platinum power lift recliner, rated to 160kg with a 51cm seat. See all our lift chairs and electric recliners, compare them side by side, or read our free lift chair buying guide.

La-Z-Boy FAQs

What is the difference between the three Pinnacle chairs?

The rocker recliner rocks and reclines by hand. The mobile recliner sits on castors so it can be moved with someone in it, which suits carers. The Pinnacle Platinum is a power lift recliner: a motor tilts the chair forward to help you stand.

Do I need a lift recliner or an ordinary recliner?

If standing up out of a chair is the hard part, a lift recliner does that work for you. If you are comfortable standing but want to put your feet up, an ordinary recliner is enough. Our lift chair guide walks through it.
