Everything You Need to Know About This Product...

Description

Two problems solved by one frame

After a stroke it's common to have both things at once: a hand that can't grip or bear weight, and an arm on the other side doing all the work. A standard gutter frame fixes the first problem but still puts a brake lever on each side — and braking only one wheel pulls the frame round. This model puts a single lever on the right handle that brakes both wheels together, including the park lock, while the padded troughs carry the weight through the forearms.

• Single lever brakes both wheels — right-hand side
• Height and angle adjustable gutter troughs
• Lightweight aluminium frame
• One-touch brake system
• 150mm front castors and rear wheels
• Basket included
• Folds to 32cm depth
• Safe working load 100kg
• Indoor use
• Parts and servicing through Cubro NZ

Also available with the lever on the left.

FAQs - Your Questions Answered

Which side is the brake lever on?
The right-hand side. Choose this version if the right hand is the working hand — most commonly after a stroke affecting the left side. If the left hand is the working one, choose the left-hand version.

What does the single lever actually do?
One squeeze brakes both wheels at once, and the same lever sets the park lock — so the frame can be stopped and locked without the other hand.

Why a gutter frame rather than a normal walker?
Because the weight goes through padded forearm troughs instead of the hands. That suits arthritis, a weak grip, or a hand or wrist injury.

Are the troughs adjustable?
Yes — height 95–128cm and angle, so each trough sits correctly under the arm.

Does it have a seat?
Yes — 30cm × 30cm at 55cm high, plus a basket.

What is the safe working load?
100kg.

Is it funded?
We quote for Enable, Accessable, ACC and WINZ. Ask us and we'll send a compliant quote.
