How do I choose between the IC15, IC20, IC25 and IC30?

IC15 is firm, for easier turning and users up to 300kg. IC20 is medium, the balanced everyday choice. IC25 is soft and deeply immersive, for lighter users, bony prominences and paediatric needs. IC30 is medium like the IC20 but adds gel and charcoal infusion for temperature and odour control. All are High Risk rated.

What is the difference between the IC20 and the IC30?

Both are 200mm, medium feel and High Risk rated. The IC30 adds gel infusion for temperature regulation and charcoal infusion for odour and moisture control. If overheating or freshness is a concern, the IC30 is worth the difference; if not, the IC20 does the clinical job.

Will it work with my adjustable bed?

Yes. At 200mm it fits the iCare IC333 and IC777 and the Cubro Caro, and Contour-Latch keeps it in place as the bed articulates. It also works on a standard base.

Is it waterproof?

The standard cover is not. If incontinence is a factor, ask us about the medical-grade Zerotec cover — at 200mm you would want the 20cm depth.

Which size do I need?

Match it to your bed. Long Single suits the IC333LS and IC777LS, King Single the KS beds, and so on. Ordering a bed and mattress together? Contact us and we will quote them as one price and check the sizes match.

Can I get funding for it?

Possibly. Pressure care mattresses are commonly funded where there is clinical need. It is arranged through an occupational therapist, who submits the request to Enable New Zealand or Accessable, or to ACC if the need arises from an injury. We are a registered vendor with Enable, ACC and MSD/Work and Income.
