Dropping the bed to 22cm shortens the fall, and lets a person sit on the edge with their feet flat on the floor before standing. It is the single most effective thing you can change about a bedroom.

Can I see one before I buy?

Yes, two ways. Book a video call and we will walk you around an IC333 live — running it through its height range, showing you the handset and answering questions as you think of them. Or visit our Putaruru showroom in person, which is open by appointment.

Do you have a showroom?

Yes — in Putaruru, open by appointment only. We currently have the iCare IC333 and Cubro Caro beds there, along with lift chairs including the Goldfern range, Monarch and VMotion chairs. We also have a separate showroom in Auckland for Pride and Theorem chairs. Get in touch and we will arrange a time, or a video call if that is easier.

Which mattress fits this bed?

Any iCare mattress in a matching size — IC15, IC20, IC25, IC30, M1, M2, M3 or VersaFlo3. Stay within the iCare range, because iCare and Cubro use different size names and dimensions. Also check the mattress depth against any side rails, as a taller mattress leaves less rail above the sleeping surface.

Will it fit through my doorway?

Yes. The bed is assembled in the room it will be used in, so a standard doorway is not a problem. Measure the room instead — allow 215cm of length plus the base width, and space to walk around at least one side.

Is a mattress included?

No. The bed is supplied base-only so the mattress can be matched to the clinical need — foam, pressure care or hybrid alternating air. Contact us and we will quote the bed and mattress together as one price.

What is Trendelenburg and do I need it?

It tilts the whole bed head-down, or feet-down in reverse, through 17°. It is used for circulation, reflux, breathing and repositioning. Your OT or nurse will tell you if it is clinically indicated — if nobody has mentioned it, you probably do not need it.

Can I get funding for this bed?

Possibly. Funded equipment is arranged through an occupational therapist, who submits the request to Enable New Zealand or Accessable, or to ACC if the need arises from an injury. We are a registered vendor with Enable, ACC and MSD/Work and Income. Where funding covers a standard bed and you want a higher specification, the difference can usually be paid to us as a top-up.

Can it sit alongside a partner's bed?

Yes. The IC333 is compatible with recessed centre rails so it can sit flush beside a partner bed. Double and Queen sizes are also available if you would rather share the one bed.

Will a hoist fit underneath?

Yes — the IC333 has unlimited under-bed clearance, so a mobile hoist gets right in.

How is it delivered and assembled?

The bed is made to order and arrives ready to assemble in the room. If you would rather not do it yourself, we can arrange in-home delivery, full assembly and packaging removal from $250 + GST depending on your region — contact us for a quote for your address before you order.
